THE EXIT READINESS PROCESS

DLS Advising has a fairly extensive get-to-know-you process to assess your need for an Exit Planner, making sure you are confident before beginning our working relationship.

STEP 1: Establish a dialogue during an Introductory Consultation to measure personal chemistry and fit. DLS is most often referred to the owner(s) by another professional advisor.
STEP 2: DLS and the owner complete an Exit Readiness Scorecard.
STEP 3: Identify both the owner’s goals and the business risks of exiting.
STEP 4: Execute the plan in cooperation with the owner’s advisory team.

Dann Scheiferstein, Founder of DLS Advising, Certified Exit Planner

Dann’s interest in business began 35 years ago, post biology BA, when a sales position instilled a desire to broaden his skills from technical systems to sales strategy and profit performance. He completed his MBA and became a founding stockholder of four different businesses that started with zero revenue and grew to dominate their market niche. He negotiated his exits as leader and stockholder from each entity after five to eight years. To this day, each venture is still operational and collectively employing hundreds in public and private ownership.
